2012 Santa Ynez Valley, California, Cabernet Sauvignon

Inky purple garnet, the wine opens with a candied varietal fruit nose and plenty of licorice. The bouquet suggests chocolate, coffee, blueberries and candied fruit. Tightly wrapped but intense and well-structured, it exhibits intense peppery black fruit.

2012 Pinot Blanc

Brilliant straw in color, the wine opens with white flowers, ripe apples and minerals on the nose. A hint of spice and peach aromas linger as well. In the mouth, pear, apple and lemon dominate along with a pineapple, in an almost layered effect.

2010 Edna Valley, California, Chardonnay

Our Chardonnay is not-quite-brilliant lemon yellow in color and begins with a complex nose of white flowers, lemon, apple, banana, toast, nuts and not-sweet butterscotch. It delivers green apple, lemon zest and tropical fruit flavors with plenty of acidity. Integrated, balanced and supported by still fresh acidity.

2011 Private Reserve, Syrah, El Dorado County

Brilliant purple to garnet. Integrated nose of black pepper, plum and tree bark. Characteristic graphite and tobacco come through as well. Plenty of juicy blackberry fruit and more even plum in the mouth. Big, integrated, balanced and supple in the mouth.

2011 Tannat, California

Garnet/purple in color, this release exudes aromas of smoke and plum announcing that you have a wonderfully robust wine on your hands. Juicy flavors of blackberries, dark plum and ripe raspberries with a hint of spice bathe the palate and extend into a long finish. A nice match with assertive dishes incorporating red meats and cheeses.

White Blend

A unique white blend of slightly more than half Chardonnay with Riesling. Shining a brilliant pale yellow straw color, it opens with white flowers and a ripe pear nose. Delicious apple and pear flavors with apricot and nectarine notes flood the mouth. Crisp acidity is the key element that makes it work so well with food.

Backyard Red, Lot 13A, California

This wine’s brilliant inky garnet color hints at the flavorful red that awaits you. A blend of roughly 1/3 Zinfandel 1/3 Merlot with other red varietals, it exudes aromas of graphite, black earth, black pepper and tree bark all over emerging black fruit nose. Tannic and earthy with juicy purple and black fruit emerging via a soft mouthfeel. Beautiful long finish.

2011 Toscana IGT, Italy

Garnet to brick in color, this Baby Super Tuscan is comprised of Sangiovese and Merlot. It opens with a complex nose of chocolate, leather, and tree bark. Cherry, plum and leather dominate the palate with subtle notes of pine, pepper and anise. Luxurious mouthfeel. Beautiful finish.

2011 Cabernet Sauvignon, California

Garnet to brick in color, this wine opens with a complex nose of pine, tree bark and leather. Red fruits with traces of black pepper and licorice. Some herbaceousness. Still developing, but chocolatey, varietal fruit emerging. Good balance and heft.
