Tanglerose, Backyard Red, Lot 12A-NC, California
Taste
In the glass the wine is a brilliant, slightly translucent brick hue. The palate exhibits dark chocolate and black fruits with some earth and spice components. Notes of cassis and black pepper in the background, supple with good structure.
Varietal
37% Napa Valley Tempranillo, 28.8% Napa Valley Syrah, 13.3% Sonoma Carneros Merlot, 10.9% Lake County Cabernet Franc, 10% Sonoma County Petite Sirah.
Winemaking
The primary blend is a careful combination of the three main Robledo components to exhibit them at their best with the use of the remaining two “spice rack" varietals to improve different elements of the blend. Some neutral and older French oak contact.

White wine lovers beware. Don't make this your first red wine.

In my opinion, this was the best of the five. Love red wines and this one was paired with meatballs in sauce as well as cheese and sausage. Yumm-o!!

Now this is the wine to have in the back yard or on the back porch!!! Sooo smooth and it is just the right taste for a dry red...it will also get you where you're trying to go...LOL! For a 14.64% alcohol content...this wine is worth every penny

I have to admit: I always claimed to "not be a red wine drinker" well I've been changed. Loved the flavor of this wine and NO nasty after taste. its all in the pairing... and let me just say WOW about the flavor that comes thru depending on what food I have with it.
