I have had such a great experience being a Traveling Vineyard Wine Guide, and in every sense of the word! Besides doing tastings locally here in Colorado, I have taken my business around the nation! I've done tastings in Arizona, Idaho, North Carolina, South Dakota, and California! I'm planning on performing at least 1 in Washington DC while I'm there for Harvest, as well as a few in Texas this summer!! I love sharing my exciting business and our fabulous wines with my friends around the country, and feel like my box of wine tasting glasses is the perfect carry-on!,

It took me a while to think of how to shorten all the feelings I have for my wine business, wine family, and the Traveling Vineyard wine experience into something less than a novel. In one short year I have gained a new appreciation for wine that I didn't have before. I've learned so much about growing conditions and the environment and how it affects flavor. Ive learned how wine can play nicely with certain foods in your mouth! I've learned that I needed recognition in my life. I needed a new family who is willing to help me out but also push me to be my better self. I've learned to be a leader, which was something that I did not expect to be. When I started this wine journey two years ago, I had just retired from a 33+ year career and wasn't sure what I wanted to do or even pursue a direct sales business. When I found The Traveling Vineyard, I decided to join and thought even if I don't do tastings, at least I have 10 bottles of wine and discounts on all of my future purchases! Well, I started to have a tasting here and there but once I decided to really work the business, what a blessing it has been. I have met some amazing people, within the company and through in-home tastings. Everyone in this company is a class act and dedicated to helping each and every wine guide. This business is whatever you want to make from it, whether it is a full-time career, extra cash to pay off some bills or pay for vacations. To top it all off, the wine is amazing! Becoming a wine guide was one of the best things I ever did for myself. I was going through a horrible divorce, a real War of the Roses situation. Becoming a wine guide and learning new skills, making new friends, and being successful at something I was passionate about helped my self-esteem and I was able to rise above all the noise and move on with my life. And that time he refused to pay the electric bill, I had the money to cover that. When he stopped paying the kids' tuition, I could cover that. I wasn't sure about this wine thing in the beginning. I work a demanding full time job. But I have to admit, I am so happy I did join Traveling Vineyard. And I wish I jumped in with both feet! Since joining Traveling Vineyard, I have been able to pay off some debt, take some of the burden off my boyfriend with our household bills. And we have started a vacation fund. I love that each and everyone of us are our own boss and we are each entrepreneurs. And at the same time we all support and cheer each other on! It's not just a job, it's an extended family <3
