Food and Wine Pairings

The Guides Have Spoken: A Buffet of Food and Wine Pairings

Food and wine pairings galore!

No matter the season, the only thing better than good food or good wine is good food and good wine.

That’s why we love it when our Guides share with us their pairing suggestions to post on Instagram. Nobody knows Traveling Vineyard wines quite like Traveling Vineyard Wine Guides. We’ve pulled together a few of our favorites to celebrate their creative tastes.

Sunny days and cold drinks

Renee Campbell shared her amazing recipe for Tropical Sangria made with Beeline, a Malvasia Blanca.

From beginning to end

Missa Capozzo and Niqui Douglas showed us how to use our Giovina, a Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, to complement both the beginning and end of a meal: starting with a pepperoni pizza dip appetizer

… and ending with the perfect ice cream pairing.

A full plate

Missa had a recommendation for a full meal of salmon with dill sauce and spicy sweet potatoes with a complementary white Viognier, such as our own Pebble.

Meanwhile, Robyn Meyer paired the same wine with crispy chicken and purple potatoes, for a gorgeous plate and a delicious meal.

Make the most of your grill

Missa also showed us how to pair a smoky red wine such as Tanglerose Backyard Red with grilled steak, corn, and kebabs.

And to finish out a fire-lit night, Renee recommended Amped, a Tannat red wine, as the perfect pairing for s’mores.
