HOW THEY MET
Host Mandy Hummel met Wine Guide Kisha Dlugos at a tasting hosted by a friend, and was inspired to Host her own at her West Virginia home. Kisha loves it when Guests become Hosts because it means it’s the experience of the tasting that people love most—and get excited to share with their friends. “It’s really amazing how that works. I have met so many amazing Hosts, Guests and customers this way and many have become great friends.”
PLANNING THE EVENT
Mandy had hosted similar in-home events in the past, so she knew what to expect. “Kisha sent over my wines and suggested pairings about a month before the event, so I had plenty of time to prepare. The new pairing site is super cool!” says Mandy. Kisha loved planning for this event. “This group was very fun and they have all known one another for years, so it really made for a night of storytelling and laughter.”

FAVORITE MOMENTS
Mandy’s favorite part of the night was tasting the pairings that Kisha suggested for each of the five free wines, and experiencing the impact the right pairing has on flavor. She and her Guests learned that “wine can be enjoyed with a variety of meals.” Kisha loved the pairing reactions, too. Especially when the group tried one of our off-dry selections paired with Apple Pie Oreos. “Talk about a big WOW moment for the guests!”
