The holiday season is all about family, friends, good food, great wine, and of course, Christmas movies. We’ve rounded up our favorite must-see movies that will have you laughing and feeling nostalgic for all things Christmas. Don’t worry—we’ve paired each movie with the perfect wine for your ideal Christmas movie marathon. Time to get cozy.

A Christmas Story, 1983
There’s nothing more quintessentially Christmas than A Christmas Story—a movie about the has-been of family Christmas memories set in the 1940s. Watch Ralphie’s dream of his ideal Christmas gift, a Red Ryder air rifle, come true with our 2015 Armatura, Marche Rosso. The armor on the label will make sure you don’t “shoot your eye out!”

For the white lovers, try our 2018 Pajama Drama, Malvasia Bianca. This pink pajama daydream will have you matching with the pink bunny pajamas Ralphie gets on Christmas, or as his old man would say, “a pink nightmare!”

Elf, 2003
“Buddy the Elf, what’s your favorite color?” Our Christmas movie marathon wouldn’t be the same without this iconic movie about a human raised as an elf on his journey to find his father. Pair this laugh-until-you-cry movie with our 2018 La Screaming Goat, Gewürztraminer. This pairing is perfect for the moment when Buddy screams in excitement, “SANTA! I know him!”

If you’re more of a red wine lover, pair with our 2015 Sky Blossom, Syrah. The fireworks on the label match perfectly to Buddy’s high energy throughout the movie. “I just like to smile. Smiling’s my favorite.”

The Santa Clause, 1994
Have you ever had a stranger fall off your roof Christmas morning only to realize it’s Santa? Yeah, neither have we—but Scott Calvin sure has. Have a glass of our 2018 Moto Rouge, Nebbiolo while you ride on Santa’s sleigh with Scott as he transforms into Santa Claus. “Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night! When I get home, I’m getting a CAT scan!”

Pop the cork with our Fissata Blonde, Fizzy White to celebrate Scott’s final transformation into Santa at the end of the movie. As Judy the elf would say, “Seeing isn’t believing, believing is seeing.” Talk about Christmas magic.

Home Alone, 1990
Merry Christmas, ya filthy animal. Yup, it’s time for everyone’s favorite 8-year-old, Kevin McCallister, and his crowd-favorite hijinks. After being accidentally left behind while his family flies to Paris for Christmas, Kevin comes in contact with two burglars and has to single-handedly defend the family home from invasion. Our 2018 Bentgate, Cabernet Sauvignon pairs perfectly with the traps and hijinks Kevin sets up for the Wet Bandits—“I think we’re getting scammed by a kindergartner.”

If you’re feeling like white wine, pair with our Bright Eyed Bird, White Blend to complement the, er, not so bright burglars going up against Kevin. Don’t forget to finish off your movie experience with a reenactment of the iconic shaving scene—that’s a scream you’ll never forget.

The Grinch, 2000
“6:30 dinner with myself, I can’t cancel that again.” In this hilarious movie that teaches us all about the true meaning of Christmas, the grumpy, anti-Christmas Grinch finds himself changing his Christmas hating tune after bonding with the endearing Cindy Lou Who. At the beginning of the movie, the Grinch’s feelings on Christmas are “hate, hate, hate, double hate, loathe entirely.” Pair the Grinch’s attitude with our 2018 Small Hours, Zinfandel to complement the down-and-out label of this yummy red wine.

When the Grinch changes his tune about Christmas, pair up with our 2018 Bella Mente, Pinot Grigio, for a white wine that benefits beautiful minds. Our biggest takeaway from The Grinch? “Maybe Christmas doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.”

White Christmas, 1954
“Vermont must be beautiful this time of year … all that snow!” Discover the quaint, romantic Vermont setting of this musical Christmas movie set in the 1950s, featuring the likes of Bing Crosby, Danny Kaye and Rosemary Clooney. Warm up by the fire with our 2018 Tanglerose, Fireside Red—the perfect complement to the catchy musical numbers sprinkled throughout the film.

For the fan-favorite final number of White Christmas, don’t forget our popular Fissata Red, the perfect sweet bubbly. “May all your Christmases be white. Merry Christmas!”
